The Alto Group Increasing its Involvement with the Humpty Dumpty Foundation
The Alto Group is excited to be a part of making a change to the lives of many children around Australia by offering their on-going support to the Humpty Dumpty Foundation.
The Humpty Dumpty Foundation was established in 1996. Over this time the Humpty Dumpty Foundation has aimed to provide support for children’s health services across Australia by purchasing essential, life-saving medical equipment. The Humpty Dumpty Foundation also provides funding to special projects that look beyond the medical history of each child. These include The Magical Fairy Gardens which encourages healing, Paediatric Fellowships for graduates and doctors training and the Clown Doctors to help give kids a dose of laughter and fun.
Through ongoing corporate and community support, the Humpty Dumpty Foundation is now able to expand their horizons to be able to help support 2 children’s hospitals in East Timor.
The Alto Group has given their on-going support to the Humpty Dumpty Foundation for over 10 years now, through various fundraisers and events. Most recently The Alto Group has showed their support by purchasing a Jaundice Meter for the Manning Rural Referral Nursery. Jaundice is a yellowish tinge to the skin and eyes, caused by a chemical called bilirubin. Jaundice is a common condition which occurs in 6 out of 10 newborn babies. Previously to measure the level of Jaundice within a new born a painful blood sample needed to be carried out, but now through the purchase of a Jaundice Meter, the Jaundice level can be measured through the skin.
As The Humpty Dumpty Foundation has expanded their support to help Children’s Hospitals in East Timor, The Alto Group has continued to be right beside them, they did this by donating a Land Rover Defender which was converted into an Ambulance. This has provided the ability to save lives by treating children in an emergency and transporting them to a hospital safely.
he Alto Group was also one of the founding Sponsors of the Balmoral Burn back in 2001 and this year we’re still proud to be entering a team. The Alto Group will be joining the local community to take part in a gruelling 420 meter run, walk or crawl up one of Sydney’s steepest streets, all to help make a difference to the lives of seriously ill children.
