Over the years Corumbene Stud has produced many winners too numerous to list. Below are our most recent stake winners:

Group 1

Overreach

By Darley’s Champion sire Exceed And Excel, the Gai Waterhouse-trained Overreach was bred and raced by Corumbene Stud and is out of the Snippets mare Bahia, a half-sister to Group One Blue Diamond winner Reward For Effort and Listed winner Consular.Crowned the Champion Two-year-old of her season after victory in the Group One Golden Slipper, Overreach’s juvenile record saw five starts for three stakes victories and a further two stakes placed performances.

Sebring

Bred by Corumbene Stud, More Than Ready colt Sebring was sold through the Magic Millions Yearling Sale to Denise Martin’s Star Thoroughbreds. Winning the Group One Golden Slipper of his year, the Champion Two-year-old of the 2007/2008 season was out of the Flying Spur mare Purespeed and is now a successful sire in his own right.

Hasna

By Snippets out of the American-bred They Say, Hasna was purchased as a yearling by Corumbene Stud and was sent to the Randwick stable of Gai Waterhouse. A winner of the second and third leg of the Two-year-old Triple Crown, the Group One Sires’ Produce and the Group One Champagne Stakes, Hasna was the Champion Two-year-old Filly of the 2002-2003 racing season after recording six victories during her juvenile season.

True Jewels

Bred and sold by Corumbene Stud, Brief Truce filly True Jewels was purchased and trained by Melbourne-based Michael Moroney to victory in the Group One Blue Diamond of her two-year-old season.
True Jewels is a half-sister to fellow Corumbene Stud’s stakes winning graduates Wager and Noesis.

Heart Ruler

Bred and raced by Corumbene Stud, Marscay mare Heart Ruler was trained to victory in the Group One Metropolitan. Recording places in the Group One VRC Derby and VRC Oaks, Heart Ruler was an extremely tough staying mare, winning on seven occasions for her owners.

Southern Legend

Bred and sold by Corumbene Stud at the 2014 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sales, the gelding by Not a Single Doubt out of Donna’s Appeal is based in Hong Kong. Among multiple group wins in Hong Kong, he is a two time winner of the Group One Kranji Mile in Singapore.

Group 2

Wager

Bred by Corumbene Stud, Wager is by Flying Spur out of the Lunchtime mare Occasional Gains, making her a half-sister to Group One winner True Jewels.
A winner at Group Two level on two occasions, the filly also finished second in both the Group One Sires’ Produce and the Group One Champagne Stakes during her two-year-old season.

Bennetta

By the ill-fated General Nediym, Bennetta was bred and raced by Corumbene Stud, being out of the Redoute’s Choice mare Diva’s Magic. A winner of the Group Two Light Fingers Stakes where she defeated the fellow Corumbene Stud bred and raced Ichihara, Bennetta was also an impressive winner of the Magic Millions Quality on Magic Millions Day

Ichihara

By By General Nediym out of Cut a Dash, the Corumbene bred and raced Ichihara won the Group Two Magic Night Stakes in 2012 stringing together three wins in a row from her first three starts. She also won the listed Heritage stakes and Eskimo Prince.

Pureness

A half brother to Corumbene’s champion in Sebring, Pureness is by Tale Of The Cat out of Purespeed. He took out the 2011 Group 2 Ajax Stakes at Rosehill as well as being the winner of four other races.

Menari

Otherwise known as “Menari the Ferrari”, the 17 hand speed machine by Snitzel out of stakeswinning mare Isurava won the Group 2 Run to the Rose in race record time. He also ran third in the Group one Golden Rose and won the Listed Rosebud.

Standout

The flashy chestnut colt, who is fully related to champion two year old and Golden Slipper winner “Overreach”, won his first three starts before running a strong second in the Group two Roman Consul Stakes. At only his fifth start, Standout took out the Weight for Age Group two Expressway Stakes, adding his second black type win to his record along with the Listed Heritage Stakes.

Group 3

Fabrizio

By High Chaparral out of Desina, the gentle giant Fabrizio took out the Group 3 Hawkesbury Gold Cup in 2017 for trainer Gai Waterhouse. Other significant wins included a Listed win in the James Boags Stakes at Flemington on Melbourne Cup day as well as a placing in the Group 3 Launceston Cup.
