Corumbene Stud is situated adjacent to the township of Dunedoo in the upper Hunter Valley. Established in 1980 by George Altomonte.

The stud is part of a vast 12,500 acre property that runs approximately 2000 head of cattle, 14,000 sheep and 200 horses. The property has been highly developed and is constantly improved and maintained to provide premium facilities for breeding and spelling to ensure the wellbeing and safety of both Corumbene and agisted horses.

The property is self sufficient in terms of feed for livestock, with both hay and oats grown on the farm.

The property boasts a vast and technically advanced irrigation network including five centre-pivot irrigation systems of some 500 acres. Paddocks used as part of the horse stud are fed by an automatic irrigation system.

The farm is active at the major horse sales throughout the year at Magic Millions and Inglis. We offer yearling, broodmare and weanling drafts.

The stud has been a nursery for top racehorses, including the likes of Group 1 Golden Slipper winners Sebring and Overreach, Hong Kong Group 1 winner Southern Legend and Blue Diamond winner True Jewels.

More recently, the farm is now home to stallions Menari and Standout, with Menari being the winner of the Group 2 Run to the Rose and Standout taking out the Weight for Age Group 2 Expressway Stakes.
