Fab In Trial

A winner when last in work, lightly raced four-year-old Fabrizio (High Chaparrla x Desina) headed to the Rosehill barrier trials on Tuesday morning, and in true Gai Waterhouse style – he jumped to the front and was untrouble in winning the heat.

Bred by Corumbene Stud and raced by Corumbene Stud Pty Ltd, Mr G Altomonte, Ms L N Smith and Mr G Severino, Fabrizio has only had two race starts and after a narrow third on debut backin June, he produced a classy effort to win by two lengths at his next start before going out for a spell.

Ridden by leading jockey Kerrin McEvoy in his barrier trial, the half-brothet to Group 1 winner Eagle Falls and Group 3 winner Mahara (both bred by Corumbene Stud), Fabrizio looks a horse of promise after his effort and like most of his family, will appreciate things as he gets a little older and further into his preparation – but be sure to watch him when he make his debut this time in.
